# HaRPC (/brands/hgres/harpc)

## About HaRPC [#about-harpc]

HaRPC is a stream-based RPC protocol whose interface comes from the server’s types. Client bindings derive from the implementation rather than a separate schema. It is the transport sub-brand within hgres and is independent of the transport and encoding used.

Visit [HaRPC on hgres.org](https://hgres.org/harpc) for the project’s technical documentation.

## Logo and icon [#logo-and-icon]

The yellow-to-orange icon and the HaRPC wordmark are supplied separately, as on the hgres site. Use the icon in compact spaces and pair it with the wordmark when the name needs to be read. Preserve their proportions and leave clear space between them.

Use the dark lettering on light backgrounds and the light lettering on dark backgrounds. The supplied SVGs retain their detail at any size.

## Writing the name [#writing-the-name]

Use **HaRPC**, with a lowercase “a” and uppercase “RPC”. Introduce it as part of [hgres](/brands/hgres) when the relationship is not already clear.

## Downloads [#downloads]

Use the supplied artwork without redrawing, stretching, or adding effects. Keep enough clear space for the mark to remain legible.
