# hgres (/brands/hgres)

## About hgres [#about-hgres]

The graph infrastructure behind HASH. Visit [hgres](https://hgres.org/) for the project and its documentation.

## Sub-brands [#sub-brands]

Three sub-brands identify the graph, query, and transport layers of hgres:

* [**hGraph**](/brands/hgres/hgraph) — the typed, bi-temporal knowledge graph.
* [**HashQL**](/brands/hgres/hashql) — the statically typed, functional query language.
* [**HaRPC**](/brands/hgres/harpc) — the stream-based RPC protocol.

Use the relevant sub-brand when discussing its part of the stack, and hgres when referring to the infrastructure as a whole. Each sub-brand has its own icon and wordmark.

## Logo and icon [#logo-and-icon]

The hgres identity pairs a cluster of colored spheres with a lowercase wordmark. Use the icon in compact spaces and the wordmark when the project name needs to be read. Use the black wordmark on light backgrounds and the light wordmark on dark backgrounds.

The lattice icon is a 1254 × 1254 transparent PNG with a softly glossy finish and a regular 3 × 3 × 3 arrangement of equal-sized spheres. Use the supplied high-resolution file for crisp rendering on both light and dark backgrounds. The wordmark is an SVG and scales without losing detail.

## Downloads [#downloads]

Use the supplied artwork without redrawing, stretching, or adding effects. Keep enough clear space for the mark to remain legible, and choose a contrasting background.
